"Spot" is a hand crafted, one-of-a-kind drum measuring 16" in diameter and 3 ½" deep.

"Spot" is made with a pine frame and stained in red mahogany and covered with an elk hide head. This drum also comes with a drumbeater (color varies). "Spot" is a reiki healing drum, and can be used for stress release, anger work, and just good old-fashioned fun. This drum is alive with the rhythm of the Universe and is made from natural wood and rawhide. Wood and rawhide drums have a much better quality of sound than drums made with synthetic materials. Elk hide gives the drum a deep, lower resonance than a deer hide. The elk hide resonates with the lower chakras and helps you stay grounded. Other facts influencing the resonance of a drum are its size, type of wood used, and what part of the animal hide it is covered in. "Spot" is made with an eight-sided frame. An eight-sided frame is more durable, sturdy, and will not warp like some round drums do. The back of the drum is made in the shape of a "cross" rather than the five pointed star that you often see in hand made drums. The cross has proven to be neater, stronger, and more efficient than the five pointed star. A non-slip shelf covering is wrapped around the center of the cross for padding and protection from the rawhide strings. This drum resonates with reiki and other healthy energy.
